The Research Center for Dairy and Food Sciences and Technologies (STELA) is a research center affiliated with the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FSAA) and recognized by
the University Council of Laval University. It is a core component of the Institute for Nutrition and Functional Foods (INAF), and its primary research focus is food science.

The research teams are well-known for their expertise not only in food science and technology, but also in animal science, microbiology, process engineering, nutrition, physical chemistry, medicine and sustainable development. Multi-disciplinary research projects are diversified and focus as much on both food production and processing and human nutrition.
